In partnership with the World Wildlife Fund, this course at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design allowed undergraduate and postgraduate students to create meaningful experiences using virtual reality while focusing on environmental topics around climate change and forest protection.
The fast-paced course was divided into two sections. The first half of the semester established the base software knowledge in Unreal Engine while learning about interactive storytelling. In addition to in-class sessions, students were given tailored video tutorials I created as individual studies.
The students came from various backgrounds such as photography, interior design, animation, and fashion. Based on their newly gained skill sets, teams were formed and were challenged to create interactive prototypes on a specific topic within six weeks.
See their work below. Photos were taken at the final showcase at MOME where each group presented their work for WWF Hungary and Greenpeace.
